Getting There…

So…like our faithful little bear Poopsie, I’m still getting myself acclimated. Not so much to the Bay Area, which is *gasp* actually becoming more and more naturally “home”, but rather to getting this website (and this blog) to some level or normalcy. Not to say that it is anywhere near normal, nor that it ever will be – but it is coming together nicely and should be easier to update as our little endeavor progresses. Got some pics from Mom related to her move and realized that it is far easier to dismiss the challenges of moving when it’s not YOU doing it. Even with the help we had coming to California, it is hard to adapt to a new place, new people, new…everything. If that’s not enough, leaving the familiar is also a big enchilada to swallow. That’s not to say that new horizons aren’t a Good Thing™ (which they usually are), they’re just a challenge. Like anything else in life, I suppose, it’s is far simpler to observe than to do.
Speaking of moving, I lied. I didn’t get my lazy butt to the gym last night after all. Suffice it to say that I spent far more time than I expected trying to get some links to work and look like I wanted. Not the most critical thing I’ve ever done, but darn it I wanted it to work. Ok, that and Mabel and I got into watching the tryouts on American Idol. Sue me. It’s funny.
