Enjoying our first sunset on vacation…once again back in Florida enjoying time with our family and for the first time we’re just going to take some time on the beach instead of driving all over the state trying to see everyone we can.  While it means less time (and sadly, perhaps missing seeing some folks entirely) it will mean a whole new set of memories ad the boys actually enjoying the ocean for the first time ever.  After a lot of rushing around ensuring we had everything we need and indeed much more we settled in for a nice afternoon of drinks and then a nice dinner with Santi and Oscar and the Herreras.

It’s so easy to fall into the pattern of stressing out over the inane events of life – stupid things like a line at the supermarket or traffic or whatever.  Then you take a step back and once again grasp the joy in a simple moment of watching your boys splashing in the water with their grandparents or realizing that life has given you the gift of even having the opportunity to enjoy such a moment at all.  Man am I lucky, sometimes it’s easier to forget that than it is to simply appreciate it.
